This includes blocking bacteria and viruses from infecting your brain, heart, and other vital organs.

Sleep

Not everyone needs to follow the guidelines for sleep. Suggestions include at least 8 hours of sleep a night for adults, however, everyone is different and only you can determine how much sleep your body and mind require each night. In times of stress, you may feel as if you don’t need as much sleep, but this is the time to take naps and breaks from everyday stress.

Avoid Toxins

This includes, but is not limited to everyday pollution. Try switching to a natural cleaner when it comes to household cleaning products. Vinegar and lemon juice often work just as well as harsh chemicals. When cleaning, wear gloves to avoid chemicals entering your bloodstream through your skin. If you live in an area where pollution levels are high most of the days, try to avoid going outside. If you need to go out, wear a mask, not only to protect you from Covid-19 but to cut down on the number of air pollutants getting into your lungs.

The healthier you can become, the better chances you have of surviving a deadly virus such as Covid-19. Take care of yourself will boost your immune system as well as help with your overall mental health and outlook on life.
