Punch off the Pounds: 6 Fast Exercises to Tone Your Body
We all are looking for a quick fix to tone our bodies for our upcoming beach vacation. Some want a smoother stomach and others want toned legs, bum and arms. There are numerous exercises you can do to tone your body, but these are the top 6 best and fastest exercises to tone your body. You will be the envy of everyone on your beach holiday!
1. Squats
These are my favorite exercises. I tend to do the HIIT and mix my squats with other exercises. Everyone is able to do them from beginners to the most advance athlete. The challenge is to get low as possible, and this will help increase the strength and muscles around your knees, thus creating nicer legs and bum. We all want that, right? What I recommend is you mix them in your routine and do four sets for twenty seconds each and just do as many as possible. You can do a full squat, then half squat, then full squat and so on. Doing different versions of your squats will help tone different areas of your body. These are fast and easy!
2. Yoga
There are numerous yoga benefits when it comes to exercise and toning muscles. The yoga I most recommend for toning and fast results is hot yoga. You will literally melt away the pounds and fat. You will do a series of poses that are more easily done due to the heat. Your muscles will become more relaxed, and you are then able to do the poses more comfortably. The only issue can be the heat. Just keep in mind that the class is only 60 to 90 minutes of your day. The heat can feel really nice during the winter months. You will see quick results in toned arms and abs.
Your apparels and shoes play a vital role when it comes to yoga practices. We advice to choose yoga shoes and clothes wisely for comfortable yoga session.
3. Lunges
Another great exercise for toning your legs and bum. What I recommend for beginners is to focus on form rather than speed. When you kneel down for your first lunge, make sure both of your knees are at 90-degree angle. This is the correct form and will help reduce injury when done correctly. Once you have that down, you can quickly challenge yourself by doing back lunges or jump lunges. I recommend rotating your lunges with your squats for best results. You will feel your muscles after the first day, and will notice results after the first week.
4. Kickboxing
This is one of my favorite classes at the moment. You will kick and punch your way to an amazing body. Your arms will be more tone and sleek; your legs will look great, and your abs will be fantastic. It is like a dance class, but you are pretending to hit your ex-boyfriend (or boss) therefore getting all of your aggravation out. Everyone looks pretty ridiculous when doing the punches, but you will feel amazing once you leave the class. It also helps you learn some self-defense techniques which are always quite useful.
5. Jumping jacks
Let’s pretend we are back in elementary school in gym class. You are warming up for kickball, and your gym teacher always has you do jumping jacks. These are simple but think about all of the muscles you are using while doing them. Your legs, arms, bum and abs are all being used. These are more than just a warm up; they are an entire body workout. If you did just these, squats and lunges, you would avoid many common health problems. You can do as many during twenty seconds and rest for ten seconds. Do four sets of these and you will see results in no time.
6. Push-ups/Planks
You have a choice here for the final way to punch off the pounds. If you are not able to hold a plank for thirty seconds, I recommend you do as many push-ups in that short amount of time. Your arms, abs and legs are all being used, and you will see the results right away. I would recommend you rotate jumping jacks and push-ups or planks when doing the exercises. Do each set for twenty seconds and rest for ten seconds in between each exercise. Make sure you do four sets for each exercise. This is the best way to see quick results.
So these are my 6 fast ways to tone your body. These exercises are easy enough for beginners, but can become quite challenging for even the most athletic gym goers. Switch up the sets so your body does not become comfortable with the exercises being done together. This will also help keep you interested in the workout too. Remember, when you become bored is when the exercises no longer work.
