Picking the right food items is an imperative part of self-care. There is no doubt that we all want delicious stuff to eat, but our food is about way more than how it tastes. People who are working nine to five and need a mood boost do not turn to unhealthy food items. According to various researchers, the food items which are listed below will surely give you a mood boost. There is never too late to start eating only healthy for a happy mind.

1. Honey

Honey is sweet in taste, and it is loaded with anti-inflammatory substances. It will enhance the level of serotonin and dopamine inside your brain. This way, honey will make you feel happier! In case you do not like honey, then you should eat it by adding in your afternoon green tea. It will act as a serious mood booster. Honey not just act as a mood booster but also help you to prevent seasonal allergies as well!

2. Olive Oil

Olive oil is famous among people as a healthy oil. It is so because it contains some nutritional value. Therefore, you should use it for cooking and salad dressing. After eating food cooked in olive oil, you will feel pleased.

3. Blueberries

Blueberries not just look amazing on the top of your oatmeal and yogurt, but these are full of nutritional elements. Blueberries are a delightful summer snack and make you feel warm during the winter season. In addition to this, blueberries contain resveratrol, and it helps in reducing the symptoms of anxiety and depression.

4. Dark Chocolate

Everybody loves chocolate, and there is no doubt about this. But do you know that dark chocolate is rich in iron and it helps in elevating your mood? Cocoa is a perfect food that gives you an immediate boost of concentration and attitude.

5. Yogurt

Yogurt is the best probiotic that is easily available in the market. Many people eat it because it is amazing for gut and can help to keep you regular. If you eat greek yogurt, then you will intake more protein. It will help you to keep full longer. To enjoy more benefits, you can add your favorite nuts or berries.

6.Green Tea

More people drink green tea to cut their belly fat, but it is a lot more than just reducing body fat. When you are feeling alone, take a total chair cushion, hold a cup of green tea, and take a sip. It will surely make you feel relaxed. Green tea also has a little amount of caffeine that acts as a mood booster. Light flavor in green tea will also help you to stay away from extra sugar.

7. Red Wine

Few glasses of red wine make you feel dizzy but do you know that regular consumption of red wine in limited amount help you to come out of depression and relieve stress.

8. Pumpkin Seeds

Most people eat pumpkin not because they are tasty, but they are a rich source of tryptophan. Pumpkin seeds act as a hero of pumpkin carving. Tryptophan is one of the main components of serotonin that helps in maintaining a good mood balance. Some people consider that tryptophan is responsible for making up feeling sleepy. But this is not true!

9. Mussels

Mussels are one of the biggest sources of iron. Therefore, mussels are a rich source of energy minerals and one of the healthiest shellfish options. These are rich in proteins and vitamins and little amount of fat. It also helps in controlling thyroid. If the thyroid is regulated, then it will further help in maintaining our good mood and weight as well.

10. Mango

Mangoes are really delicious and full of nutrition. These are loaded with enormous nutrients, and a rich source of vitamin A. Mango is a citrus food, therefore, it is also full of the tremendous amount of vitamin C. Thus, mango help in fighting against stress.
