Breathing Exercises That Can Help You Lose Belly Fat

Belly fat is undoubtedly the most complicated fat of the body to get rid of. Also, this fat is often associated with several health problems such as diabetes, heart diseases, or hypertension. Thus, it is important that you lose your weight because not only it gives you a slim waistline but improves your health by protecting your body from various diseases. Strong commitment to a healthy diet and daily exercise helps in losing this stubborn fat. However, for people who struggle with complex machines in the gym, there are various breathing exercises that you can effectively perform at home and burn your stubborn belly fat. Few of them are mentioned below.

Diaphragm Breathing

Diaphragm breathing is one of the easiest exercises that can be performed at home. It helps in improving the digestion and eliminates all the undesired fat around the area of the stomach. You can do it any time of the day. All you have to do is lie flat on your back and start breathing calmly. Notice your stomach and chest moving up and down. Continue breathing deeper and deeper. This kind of breathing exercise helps in enhancing the capacity of the lungs and lose weight by making the abdominal muscles flexible.

Belly Breathing

Breathing from your belly only concentrates on the muscles below the lungs and the diaphragm. You can perform this exercise while standing, sitting, or lying. Also, it requires no particular duration but the whole day. It helps in enhancing energy levels and stamina. belly breathing even assists in alleviating stress and anxiety problems. For performing this breathing exercise, you have to place your one hand on the stomach with your thumb close to the belly button. Now, start breathing deeply but make sure your chest doesn’t rise and allow your abdomen to expand. This exercise not only makes you comfortable and relaxed but helps in losing belly fat without efforts.

Deep Breathing

Deep breathing is the principal form of pranayama and it requires no efforts. All you have to do is sit straight in a comfortable place with your back touching the wall. Close your eyes and place your hands on your lap and start taking deep breaths. Spend at least 20 to 25 minutes performing this exercise. Not only it improves the metabolism and digestion but helps in eliminating the stubborn fat around the abdominal muscles. Deep breathing improves the blood circulation, enhances the oxygen levels in the body, and assists in burning calories.

Mouth Breathing

Mouth breathing helps in losing the belly fat by pressurizing the abdominal muscles to increase tone. It makes you feel energized, refreshed and reduces stress. Perform this exercise in a lying or seated position according to your comfort. Start breathing slowly and steadily while counting up to 10 with each inhales. Remember to double your exhaling time, meaning if you inhale for 5 minutes, your exhale should be for 10 counts. Try increasing your breathing count gradually. You can perform this breathing exercise daily three to four times for around 10 minutes each and you will notice yourself the change in your belly fat.

Skull-Shining Breathing

Skull shining breathing is one of the most powerful exercise that not only helps in removing 80% of the toxins but losing calories and detoxifying all the system of the body. To perform this exercise, keep your spine erect and sit in a comfortable place, keep your hands on your knees with palms facing up front. Hold your abdominal muscles and start inhaling deeply. Take such breaths 20 times and relax for 5 minutes by coming back to the normal breath, then again repeat the same breathing pattern. This breathing exercise renders uncountable benefits including, improved blood circulation, enhanced digestive functioning, an increased metabolic rate that aids in weight loss, energizes the nervous system, adds radiance and glow to the face, and much more.
